Materializing Happiness

Materializing Happiness is a large wall scroll.

These scrolls are called "kakejiku" in Japanese. This kakejiku is hand brushed on traditional Japanese paper (washi), using black sumi ink. The paper is handmade and kneaded.
The paper is then pressed on the scroll.

The scroll reads "In a family where there is laughter, happiness will come."

This kind of scrolls are part of Japanese tradition and are one of its oldest forms of art.
