The Japanese Way

"The Japanese Way - Wa" is written on green Japanese shikishi (traditional Japanese framed paper) with black sumi ink (Japanese ink).

The word "wa" means "harmony" or "peace," but its main meaning is "The Japanese Way."

This letter, attached to other words, creates the meaning of "Japanese style" or "Japanese way."

The style I used is sousho, an ancient Japanese writing system filled with history.
Although this style is no longer used in common writing (most Japanese people can't write in, or read sousho anymore), its harmonic flow and lines create beautiful collection pieces.
